The CBSE 10th result 2021 was declared today and around 2.6 lakh students received over 90% marks in the CBSE Class 10 result. Here's why. The CBSE 10th result 2021 was declared on Tuesday based on the evaluation criteria prepared by CBSE board after the CBSE exam Class 10 was cancelled due to the pandemic. The pass percentage this year was 99.04%, which is much higher than the average year.
The most staggering number is that 258786 students, which is around 12% of the total students whose results are declared, received more than 90% marks. A total number of 2097128 students received their CBSE 10th result 2021 today and the total pass percentage is 99.04%. In 2020, a pass percentage of 91.46% was recorded. In the CBSE Class 10 result 2020, 1,50,198 students got the compartment; in 2021, the number dropped to 17,636. CBSE schools this year formulated the marks for their students by themselves and sent it to the board, which could be the major reason for the strikingly high pass percentages in schools across India. The abnormally high marks this year not only in the CBSE 10th result 2021 but also in the CBSE Class 12 results 2021 will drive up competition like never before for top colleges across India and even foreign universities abroad which see a large influx of Indian students. Alternately, since schools have been closed for so long, students also had more time and focus to prepare for the CBSE board exams. "We are seeing abnormally high scores this year for the 10th students since the online mode of teaching enhanced their focus. There were fewer diversions for the students as well as they were confined to their homes for most of the year," said Dr Mona Lisa Bal, Chairperson, KiiT International School. "This resulted in an overall superior performance among the students. The continuous comprehensive online evaluation also contributed towards this," she added. |
