- L’Express - French newspaper that provides real time information regarding French and International politics, culture, and society. In French only
- Paris Match - French weekly magazine covering national and international news, as well as popular culture.
- Rue89 - Modern, societal and investigational newspaper.
- Le Nouvel Observateur - Magazine with real time actualities, mostly neutral.
- AFP/ Agence France Presse - French press agency.
- TV5 MONDE - French Web TV and many other aspects of French live.

- BBC Education
- Project Gutenberg - Provider of free electronic books, where you can download several hundred ebooks in French for free to read on your PC, Kindle, Sony Reader, iPhone or other device, even a Macintosh computer!
- Maison de la France - A site designed for who are planning to visit France. There are news bulletins and links to practical information about what to do and where to go and where to stay. From the French government's tourist office.
- France Diplomatie - This website provides information about foreign policy, current news in France, visiting France, useful addresses, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The site is available in both French and Dutch.
- On the line – France Virtual Journey - Take a journey through France and experience the culture, cuisine and scenery of this beautiful and diverse country.
- Resto.fr - Presented both in French and in English, Resto.fr offers information on over 1,000 restaurants in Paris. Restaurants may be searched using criteria that include price range, cuisine (in French version only), or arrondissement (neighborhood).
- French wine guide - A guide to French wine regions, appellations, varieties, wine making, wine tasting, and more. Offers suggestions for pairing food with wine. Includes a glossary and an explanation of wine designations such as AOC (Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée).
- Recipe from Provençe - Collection of recipes for dishes from the Provençe region of southern France. Includes recipes for ratatouille, basil and cheese flan, grilled red mullet, and Provençales bean soup with basil (soupe au pistou). Additional recipes are available.
- Evolution of languages - "We don't ask ourselves where languages come from because they just seem to be there: French in France, English in England, Chinese in China, Japanese in Japan, and so forth."
- Présidence de la République - Official website for the president of France. Provides biographical material and speeches and documents from the current president, a picture gallery of presidents back to the Second Republic (1848), and a history of the president’s. Also general information about France and the French society.
- Demeure historique - Demeure Historique is an organization comprised mainly of French castle owners who devote considerable resources to the preservation of over 3500 castles. From this web site, you can view some of these web sites.
- The Louvre Museum - Established in 1793 by the French Republic, the Louvre Museum is one of the earliest European museums. Divided into 7 departments, the Louvre collections incorporate works dating from the birth of the great antique civilizations.
- Bibliothèque nationale de France - The Web site of the national library of France provides access to their Online Catalog (OPALE PLUS), a schedule of the library's exhibitions and cultural events, and a few online exhibits. Available in French and English.
- Christmas Tradition in France and Canada - Historical background on the "social and communal customs, family celebrations and religious ceremonies" of Christmas as they evolved from the Middle Ages to modern day France and Canada is explored at this site. Available in English and French.
- New France New Horizons/ Nouvelle France Horizons nouveaux - Created to mark "the 400th anniversary of the French presence in North America in 2004," this site "provides access to a virtual exhibition and a [searchable] database containing more than one million images."
- Creating French culture - Treasures from the Bibliothèque Nationale de France. This online exhibit traces France's history from Charlemagne in the eighth century to de Gaulle in the twentieth. Features high-quality reproductions of artifacts with commentaries about the historical, cultural, and artistic significance of the works.
- France in America/ La France en Amérique - This "English-French digital library ... tells the story of the French presence in America and the interactions between the French and American peoples from the early 16th to the late 19th centuries."
- Napoléon org - This highly graphic site covers Napoleon Bonaparte's life in pictures and documents (more in the French version). There is a searchable database of places to find Napoleonic information around the world, links to other Napoleon sites on the Web.
